About MY PROJECT

My name is Chris LaCass. I started the Pandemic Kitchen project in April of 2020 to respond to an immediate food crisis affecting NYC's street homeless population. The generosity of my community enabled me to buy an electric bicycle with a trailer, to coordinate donors, volunteers, and restaurants, and to deliver over 11,000 hot meals and beverages directly to the homeless on our streets. I scaled back operations in August, when conditions improved on the streets. Since December I have been helping Rishi Chidananda, a Hindu Monk, as he started his life of service here in NYC. We deliver hot tea and hot soup with bread to street homeless in midtown Manhattan each Sunday. Donations made for Pandemic Kitchen go directly to me to help buy food and supplies to feed the homeless. I am an individual and not an organization so your donation is not tax deductible. I invite you to please follow the @PandKitch page on Facebook and on Instagram to see exactly where the donations are going. Thank you for giving me needed support help so many people! 💛
